The Local Food

If you’re a food lover, it’s almost impossible to say no to some of the incredible fare available in Singapore. Laksa is the ultimate blend of Malay and Chinese flavours in one bowl. With a base of rice noodles or rice vermicelli, the coconut milk or tamarid based curry can be devoured all over the city. Fried noodles are also popular, and you can try either Hokkien Mee or Char Kway Teow friend noodles. A must0have dish is the Tian Tian chicken rice, which can easily found at any street vendor.

The Arts

Singapore has an added spark to it because of its growing culture in the arts. At festivals like Art Week and Singapore Writers Festival, people are constantly on the lookout for talented individuals.

The Quaint Neighbourhoods

When you think of Singapore, you automatically think of skyscrapers, but there’s also a quiet side to the city. Do take out some time to explore the quaint and unique streets where modernity and tradition meet. Chinatown and Dempsey Hill are just two of the neighbourhoods we’d recommend.

Museums

Why not spend an afternoon at the museum instead of a mall? Singapore has a long list of fascinating museums to visit. The Mint Museum of Toys, Singapore Art Museum and National Museum of Singapore are a few you shouldn’t miss.

The Marina Bay

One of the most famous attractions of the city, several tourists visit the Marina Bay every year. If you can, we’d suggest you make a trip during the annual i Light Marina Bay festival, the only sustainable light art festival in Asia, and a wonder to watch.

Gardens by the Bay

This is a futuristic park that is huge and colourful. It was even crowned as the World Building of the year in 2012. These super-tree structures offer a wonderful walk around the garden.

Sentosa Island

The entire island was created with the ideas of relaxation and leisure in mind. Here you can find a collection of beaches, golf courses, shopping opportunities, theme parks and much more. It is extremely popular during the weekend because of its beaches. If you want to add a bit of excitement to your trip, do visit Sentosa Island.
